Estimator
Position Summary
Estimators at Micos price façade projects across curtain wall, window-wall and specialist glazing systems, working closely with our design and project teams from early involvement through to tender. The role suits someone who can read architectural and structural documentation accurately and translate it into a commercially sound, buildable proposal.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for façade systems from concept through to final tender
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source current material and labour pricing
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify scope, risk and buildability issues
- Support early contractor involvement by providing cost input during design development
- Work with project managers to hand over priced scope cleanly into delivery
Requirements
- Experience estimating façade, glazing or building envelope packages
- Strong understanding of curtain wall and/or window-wall systems
- Confident reading architectural and structural drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial judgement
