We remove complexity that would otherwise carry through to construction. The result is a design that’s easier to price accurately, easier to build, and less likely to change once documentation is finalised. This input is grounded in what we know can actually be manufactured and installed, not just what looks right on paper.

Budget is formed and agreed early, giving cost certainty before construction starts. From there, the project moves into delivery with far fewer surprises for everyone involved.

High-performance façade systems for complex commercial and mixed-use projects. Every curtain wall facade is different, shaped by its own design, site and structural conditions. Our design team works locally, alongside your architects and engineers, to develop the system in detail before it goes to manufacture, drawing on decades of curtain wall experience and a portfolio of pretested systems to know what will and won’t work. Manufacturing then leverages the scale of offshore production, without losing the local design input that gets the detail right from the start.

Once one of the largest window and door manufacturers in Australia, that experience still shapes how we design and build today. Our suites are developed to Australian Standards, drawing on both pretested systems and new development where a project calls for it. High rise installation, particularly keeping pace with screen cycles on a live build, is where this experience matters most, and it’s an area few contractors can bring the same knowledge, capacity and confidence to.

Our technical team has the knowledge and experience to design almost any type of glazed façade system, tailored to a project’s specific requirements. We typically don’t take these on as standalone offerings, they’re delivered alongside our core work in curtain wall, window-wall, windows and doors, adding a further layer of capability where a project calls for it :

Our in-house design team handles everything from concept development through to drafting, shop drawings and fabrication drawings, keeping the process under one roof rather than passed between multiple parties. As designers of our own extrusion systems, we understand how a detail performs and where efficiencies can be found in a way that’s harder to reach when a system is bought in rather than developed internally. Design managers coordinate this work closely with façade engineers and consultants, ensuring every system is properly certified and meets the standards it’s designed against, including the requirements of the Design and Building Practitioners Act.

That depth of knowledge means we can adapt a system with confidence rather than guesswork, resulting in documentation that reflects what will actually be built and performs as intended.

Micos has its own staff based overseas, not consultants, working alongside manufacturers we’ve partnered with for decades in many cases. Product is tested both overseas and again once it arrives in Australia, with dedicated procurement staff in Sydney working alongside our own team checking quality in China. On site, we’re hands-on.

Decades of delivery have taught us what goes wrong and how to solve it before it becomes a problem. We prefabricate wherever possible to keep installation faster and lower the risk of work on site. Our own site managers oversee the installation directly, conducting our own compatibility checks prior to installation on site

Our aftercare services team takes ownership of a project once installation is complete, handling defects, warranty items and ongoing coordination with the body corporate. It’s a level of post-completion support most façade contractors don’t offer, and one of the reasons builders and owners corporations keep coming back to us.
